As the founder of Kedai Emas Perling, Puan Nurul Aini Binti Muslim is a single mother and an architect who works at Mw Group Pte Ltd. in Jurong, Singapore. In 2000, she received her Degree in Architecture from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM). After getting married and having her daughter, Maria in 2014, she made the decision to leave her career as an architect. She set up her criteria by achieve her goal to have a businees while being a single mother to give a better life for her and Maria. Puan Aini began her business by selling gold online from her house at Taman Laguna, Johor Bahru.
Then, Puan Aini accepted her walk-in customers to her house until 12 a.m. She was in charge of handling client messages, postage packaging and order delivery for customers. In 2016, Puan Aini opened her first physical store named Kedai Emas Perling at Taman Perling, Johor Bahru. At the time, Kedai Emas Perling had just one store, which was run by a small group of employees. Kedai Emas Perling was now run by the store and online.
